DIGITAL COLLAGE

MODULE INFORMATION BOOKLET

LECTURE

The third week of lecture is about introduction to Adobe Photoshop.

In the third lecture week, Mr. Fauzi gave us an in-depth introduction to Adobe Photoshop because we were required to use it to complete the week's task. This taught us how to make use of all of the tools in Photoshop, for example the pen tool, which allows us to construct duplicate paths or shapes, select objects, and create layers, among many other things. After that, we just start working in Photoshop to create our composition.

  • Lasso Tool: allow you to draw and pinpoint specific areas of a document.
  • Pen Tool: the way that you add these points and the way you drag the tool as you create the points determines how they will look.
  • Layering: different images stacked on top of each other.

TUTORIAL and PRACTICAL

In the third week of class, we learn how to use Photoshop to create composition. It was challenging nevertheless I was able to learn it with Mr. Fauzi's guidance. To be able to complete this work, we were given a particular number of images. We had to make three compositions in A4 size, organize them in different ways, and present them to Mr. Fauzi so he could advise us on which should be used for the best composition at the end.

REFLECTION

This is the third week of class, and I learned a lot, which include how to use all of Photoshop's features. Thanks to Mr. Fauzi's guidance, I'm pleased to have the opportunity to explore Photoshop without any difficulties. I discovered how to create a digital collage by cutting out and copying shapes with the pen tool, then adding them to another layer.
